He extended condolences to the families of the victims and wished a “full and speedy” recovery to the injured, reaffirming the UN’s support for Pakistan in its fight against terrorism and violent extremism.
Pakistani authorities reported that at least 31 people were killed and more than 169 others injured when a suicide bomber detonated explosives inside Imambargah Khadijah-tul-Kubra, a Shia Muslim mosque in the Shehzad Town area, during Friday prayers.
