After that exchange, Trump posted a warning directed at Iran on his Truth Social platform, writing that “the Clock is Ticking” for Tehran.
On Monday evening, Trump stated that he had delayed a military strike that had reportedly been planned for Tuesday against Iran following requests from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates.
He also said he ordered the US Defense Department “to be prepared to go forward with a full, large scale assault of Iran, on a moment’s notice, in the event that an acceptable Deal is not reached.”
