ArrowHeart Foundation and Arrowhead Credit Union Light Up the Night at National Night Out
RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA, UNITED STATES, August 10, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- ArrowHeart Foundation and Arrowhead Credit Union volunteers helped light up the streets in their Southern California communities on August 4, when they participated in National Night Out, a nationwide community-building event held annually on the first Tuesday in August. Since 1984, National Night Out has been a free community event that brings together local businesses and community groups to promote unity, safety, and connection between neighbors and their local law enforcement officers.
“We have participated in National Night Out since 2021,” said Ryan Weller, Chief People Officer, Arrowhead Credit Union. “Serving our community goes beyond providing financial services. It's about building meaningful connections. Events like National Night Out give us the opportunity to connect with our neighbors outside the Credit Union, strengthen relationships, and give back to our communities.”
ArrowHeart participated in National Night Out celebrations at Victoria Gardens in Rancho Cucamonga, Alma Hofman Park in Montclair, Yucaipa Community Park in Yucaipa, and Miller Park Amphitheater in Fontana. Over the course of the evening, Arrowhead Credit Union's Board Chairman joined Arrowhead volunteers from departments such as Membership Development, Human Resources, and Item Processing in welcoming families and community members with games, prizes, and information about the Credit Union and Foundation.
First-time volunteer Jason Hernandez, Item Processing Assistant Manager, was excited to participate in this event. He said, "I had a great time connecting with the community where I live and serve. It was amazing to see so many local businesses, law enforcement, military personnel, and emergency services come together to engage with everyone in such a fun and meaningful way."
National Night Out has created opportunities for Arrowhead Credit Union and ArrowHeart to build relationships with local organizations that share a commitment to serving the community. Two years ago, after meeting Lenee Thomas from the Mana Foundation, a breast cancer support and education outreach organization, ArrowHeart began building a partnership that has continued through several community initiatives. Since then, ArrowHeart has worked with the organization to provide school supplies, backpacks, and other essential items to individuals and families in need.
“Credit unions succeed when the communities they serve are thriving,” said Weller. “And Arrowhead Credit Union will continue to support and foster our growing communities through outreach, community connections, and participation in our surrounding community events, programs, and volunteer efforts.”
