Energy Conference Network Brings Canada's Climate Resilience and Energy Justice Conversations to Winnipeg and Ottawa

Two events, one goal: equipping Canadian communities, utilities, and policymakers with practical strategies as climate and energy pressures intensify.

EDMONTON, AB, CANADA, August 14, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Energy Conference Network is continuing its focus on Canadian climate and energy resilience with two events this fall: the Canada Home Energy Justice Conference, taking place October 6-7 at Carleton University in Ottawa, and The Adaptation Forum, taking place October 20-21 in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

The two events approach a shared challenge from different angles. The Canada Home Energy Justice Conference, now in its third year, is co-organized with Efficiency Canada and brings together community leaders, policymakers, researchers, utilities, and housing providers to address energy poverty and the barriers Canadian households face in accessing affordable, efficient home energy. The program moves beyond identifying the problem to building solutions, covering community-led retrofit strategies, tenant voices in building performance, and a national push to end energy poverty.

The Adaptation Forum, held under the theme Community & Infrastructure Resilience in the Prairies, turns to the broader climate adaptation challenge facing Western Canada. As wildfires, drought, and flooding place growing strain on housing, infrastructure, and emergency systems, particularly in rural, remote, and Indigenous communities, the forum gathers municipalities, Indigenous leaders, insurers, utilities, and funders to share financing solutions, resilient retrofit approaches, and partnerships that can be scaled across the Prairies.
