Vice Foreign Minister Miao Deyu Attends the National Day of Singapore and Singapore Armed Forces Day Reception

On August 7, 2026, Vice Foreign Minister Miao Deyu attended upon invitation the National Day of Singapore and Singapore Armed Forces Day reception held by the Embassy of Singapore in China, and met with Ambassador of Singapore to China Peter Tan Hai Chuan.
Miao Deyu congratulated Singapore on its National Day, noting that last year’s meeting between President Xi Jinping and Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong provided important strategic guidance for advancing the all-round high-quality and future-oriented partnership between China and Singapore. The two sides have maintained close exchanges at all levels, continuously deepened mutually beneficial cooperation, and launched multiple landmark inter-governmental projects.
