CBP to open new Global Entry Enrollment and Trusted Worker office at Detroit Metro Airport’s McNamara Terminal

ROMULUS, Mich. — U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s Office of Field Operations will open a new Global Entry enrollment office at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport’s Edward H. McNamara Terminal, Oct. 13.

CBP's new Global Entry Enrollment office located at domestic baggage claim inside the McNamara Terminal at Detroit Metropolitan Airport will open Monday through Friday from 8:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m starting Tuesday, Oct. 13.

The new office, located on the domestic baggage claim level of the terminal, will expand access to CBP’s Trusted Traveler Programs, and serve as an additional Trusted Worker location for airport employees who require CBP endorsement for access to Federal Inspection Service areas.

It will also provide conditionally approved Global Entry applicants with a convenient location to complete the in-person interview required to finalize enrollment. Eligible applicants may complete their interview when arriving internationally, while traveling domestically through the terminal, or before departing on an outbound flight.

The new office is opening in partnership with Delta Air Lines and the Wayne County Airport Authority.

“Global Entry strengthens security while making international travel more efficient for preapproved, low-risk travelers,” said Port Director Fadia Pastilong. “We are grateful for our partnerships with Delta Air Lines and the Wayne County Airport Authority, which help us expand access to these important services and improve operations at Detroit Metro Airport.”

Operating hours for the new McNamara Terminal office will be Monday through Friday from 8:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Global Entry interviews will be available without an appointment but on a first-come first-served basis and as CBP staffing allows. Applicants must first receive conditional approval before completing an interview.

The existing Global Entry Enrollment Center at the Evans Terminal will remain open and will continue to require appointments.
“This expansion of service reinforces our commitment to efficiency in our enforcement processes and enables us to redirect resources to higher-risk travelers,” said Director of Field Operations Marty C. Raybon.

Travelers interested in applying for Global Entry or learning more about eligibility requirements can visit CBP’s Trusted Traveler Programs website.
